Alexia Petrakos - Digital Operations Manager

How would you explain your position/role at The Abs Company?
I'm the one who makes sure our digital systems actually work together. Not just individually, but as a connected ecosystem. I architect and manage the platforms our team relies on every day, from HubSpot and Shopify to our ERP and everything in between. When something's inefficient, I redesign it. When we need a new capability, I build it or find the right tool and integrate it. My role is really about translating business goals into systems that let people do their best work without fighting their tools.
How did you get into fitness/ the fitness industry?
I came in through the operations and technology side, not the gym floor. And that turned out to be exactly what a growing company like this needs. My background is in building digital infrastructure and solving complex operational problems. The fitness industry is where those skills found a home.
What do you like best about your job?
Seeing the whole picture. I get to work across every department and connect the dots between what each team needs and how our technology can support it. The best days are when I solve a problem someone didn't even know they had yet, or when a system I built quietly makes someone's job easier.
Which Core Value means the most to you and why?
Big Things. It's how I'm wired. I'm always looking at where we're headed, not just where we are. Thinking about what we'll need six months or two years from now and building toward it. Big Things isn't just ambition. It's the willingness to rethink how things work so we can actually get where we're going.
What is your favorite TAC product and why?
The Tire Flip 180. Full body, functional, and honestly just fun. There's something satisfying about a piece of equipment that doesn't over-complicate things. It just works and delivers results.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
I'm a ceramic artist. I spend my Saturdays at a local community studio making figurative pieces, creatures, and whatever else the clay wants to become. I also practice Tai Chi, read a lot of fiction, and make time for my family.
Anything else you would like people to know? (fun facts, hobbies, awards, certifications, accomplishments, goals, favorite quote, etc.).
I'm a maker at heart, whether it's systems or sculptures. I've worked across mixed media, watercolor, drawing, bookbinding, fabric arts, and now ceramics is where I've landed. I also lead creative groups and believe that the best operational thinking borrows from artistic thinking. You have to see the whole piece before you start shaping the details.
