Sean Kirby - VP of Sales

How would you explain your position/role at the Abs Company?
As Vice President of Sales, I lead partnerships with health club, fitness, and franchise owners to introduce The Abs Company's full line of Abs, Glutes, and HIIT Zone equipment. By building and scaling a world-class sales team, we're expanding our reach and advancing our mission of Shaping People from the Core.
How did you get into fitness/ the fitness industry?
I've always been an athlete, including playing small college basketball. After a career-ending ankle injury, I moved west and landed a role managing a health club in San Francisco — which happened to be the test facility for ASF Payment Solutions, led by founder Richard Reed. That experience launched my career in fitness, and I've believed ever since in "walking the walk" by staying committed to my own training.
What do you like best about your job?
I love the equipment, the mission, and most importantly, the people at TAC. I also enjoy building relationships with owners and helping them achieve their vision of success. I've always believed: you've got to like what you do and who you do it with — when you have both, everything else follows.
Which Core Value means the most to you and why?
Gratitude resonates most with me — being thankful for the people and opportunities around you is foundational to leadership. Without Gratitude, you can't Lead. Without Leadership, you can't inspire Big Things. And without Big Things, you can't achieve meaningful success through Winning. The best ideas are all around us — we just need to slow down and listen.
What is your favorite TAC product and why?
I still remember trying the original Ab Coaster for the first time at a trade show and thinking, "Wow — this hits my core better than anything I've done." It's stuck with me ever since. More recently, I've developed a new appreciation for the Tire Flip 180 as I've leaned further into functional training.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
Having lived in Colorado for many years, I've grown to love the mountains and hiking. The gym is still my sanctuary, but I also enjoy reading and the occasional binge-watch session with my wife.

Anything else you would like people to know?
Fun fact: I was once on the cover of an old video game, Street Games Basketball, dunking — okay, full disclosure, it was on a 9-foot rim. 😄
